Situated in the Indian state of Assam, the Kaziranga National Park holds forests, grasslands, and wetlands in an area of over 60 kilometres on the mighty Brahmaputra’s southern side. Home to more than 2400 rhinos, the park lets you go on a safari to spot as many of them as you can with your Kaziranga tour. The park is also a natural habitat for elephants and tigers, many of which you can spot during the safari as well. In addition, you may also be able to catch glimpses of eastern swamp deer and wild water buffaloes when you go on a full-blown Kaziranga National Park tour.

 

BRIEF ITINERARY:

Day 1 Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Kaziranga National Park

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”, Enroute visit Maha Mrityunjay Temple. On arrival at Kaziranga Check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 2 Kaziranga National Park

Early morning explores any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. Return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon enjoy jeep safari through the National Park, later visit Kaziranga Orchid Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga. Important note: Elephant rides are all regulated and controlled by the forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control on the booking. Elephant rides & Jeep safari are subject to availability only.

Day 3 Kaziranga National Park – Shillong

After breakfast proceed for Shillong (4,900 ft.), which is called ‘Scotland of the East”. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 4 Excursion to Cherrapunjee

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, enroute visit Elephanta. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 5 Shillong Sightseeing – Guwahati

After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum (Sunday Closed) & Ward’s Lake. After that drive to Guwahati. Arrive and check in at hotel. In evening we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment by own). Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 6 Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station

After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark). Transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey. Note: Temple visit will depend on your departure time. It May be done on previous day.

  • Please note Cancellation / Amendment request needs to reach us in writing. Any amendment received after booking will be treated as cancellation. The Cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Up to 30 days prior to date of departure -Initial deposit amount – 35% of the tour cost (Non Refundable) per person

  • Between 22 days to 29 days prior to departure - 50% of tour cost ( We need 50% payment as well)

  • Between 16 days to 21 days prior to departure - 75% of tour cost

  • Less than 15 days prior to departure - 100% of tour cost

  • This policy may vary during Apr, May and Jun months, Diwali / Dussehra and New Year period and Long Weekends will go up to 100% cancellation - After confirmation.

  • Bank transaction charges apply on credit card/net banking refunds.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Rates valid for Indian national Air tickets and hotels are subject to availability.

  • It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identifications at the time of checking. The identification proofs accepted are Driving License, Aadhar Card, Passport. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in. Note- PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.

  • All transfers and sightseeing are as per the Itinerary/package and in case of Air Conditioned vehicles, It will be switched off in the hills.

  • The inclusion of extra bed with a booking is facilitated with a folding cot or a mattress as an extra bed.

  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.

  • The standard check-in time is 1400hrs and the standard check-out time is 1000hrs.

  • Any kind of personal expenses (Laundry, room service etc..) or optional tours/ extra meals are not inclusive in the package cost.

  • The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Uncle Travels will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.

  • In case of non-availability of above mentioned hotels similar category hotel will be provided.

  • Uncle Travels reserves the right to change/modify or terminate the offer any time at its own discretion and without any prior notice.

  • Mandatory Gala dinner Supplement on Christmas and New year period will be borne by guest directly.

  • Uncle Travels will not bear any cost for flight cancelled or delayed due to bad weather or any other reason given by the airline, cost of accommodation and transport in such cases will have to be borne by Passenger

  • There would be no refund for the road blocks at any places enroute due to natural calamity. The alternate accommodation cost at any places enroute should be bear by the passenger directly.

  • No Refund or Compensation for any unused services or transport in any kind of circumstance.

  • Room allotment will be as per availability at the time of check in, floor or view preferences are not guaranteed.
